What are LEDs?

LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, are semiconductor devices that produce visible light when the voltage is applied to them. Compared to traditional light sources, LEDs bring many advantages including higher efficacy, longer lifetime, instant-on, greater optical control, greater design flexibility, is dimmable and contains no mercury.

What is center beam (cd)?

Refers to the light intensity produced by a light source often located at the center. Its measurement unit is candela power (cd)

Measures the efficiency of a light source by diving the total lumen output (lm) with the total input power (W).

What is CCT?

What is "Warm White", "Soft White", "Bright White", "Cool White", and "Daylight" and how it refers to CCT?

“Warm White”, “Soft White”, “Bright White”, “Cool White” and “Daylight” refer to different (CCT) Correlated Color Temperatures produced by a light source.

Although the most accurate and proper manner to analyzed CCTs is through (K) Kelvins some people choose to use terms such as warm white to differentiate various CCT Values. This manner was adopted originally from CFLs when they were introduced to the market.

What is CRI?

A color rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source. -Wikipedia

What is "True Color" and how it refers to CRI?

True Color described Euri Lighting products that contain a higher CRI level mostly in the 90+.

What is Lux?

Lux is the unit of illuminance and luminous emittance, measuring luminous flux per unit area. It is equal to one lumen per square metre.

What is the estimated lamp lifespan of Euri Lighting lamps?

Most Euri lighting lamps offer an estimated 25,000 Hrs. long lifespan. On the other hand, Euri Lighting downlights offer 35,000 Hrs. estimated lifespan and high power downlights offer 40,000 Hrs. of estimated lifespan.

What is T24?

In 2014 on 1st July new legislation for Part 6 of the 2013 Building Energy Efficiency Standards came into effect in the form of California Title 24. It covers the energy efficiency of process and controls of lighting along with other electrical equipment like window treatment and HVAC equipment for the three-year cycle. -Title24compliant.com

What is CFL?

CFL, or “Compact Fluorescent Lamp” is a lamp that has been compressed into the size of a standard-issue incandescent light bulb.

What are LED Filament Bulbs?

LED Filament light bulb is an electric light bulb which produces light with a LED that is shaped as a filament.

What is a 3 way light bulb?

A 3-way bulb has two filaments designed to produce different amounts of light. When in use the outcome is three different amounts of light that are activated through three phases.

Are Dimmable and non-dimmable bulbs interchangeable?

Euri Lighting recommends only using dimmable bulbs in dimmable sockets and non-dimmable bulbs in non-dimmable sockets.

What are the different tests conducted on LED lighting products?

We conduct a series of rigorous tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our LED lighting products. Here are the key tests performed:

Abnormal Testing
- OPEN TEST: Evaluates the LED’s performance when circuits are open.
- SHORT TEST: Assesses the LED’s response to short circuits.
- High/Low Input Voltage Test: Checks the LED’s stability under varying voltage conditions.
Lumen Maintenance Test
- For UA190M 450/800L, ED12-1100, and 2 CFLs, we test in a 25°C environment, positioning half the lamps up and half down.
- For other models, we perform the test at 45°C, again with half the lamps up and half down.
High-Temperature Operation Test at 75°C
- Operation Test: Conducted at 75°C with 120V for 720 hours.
- On/Off Test: At 75°C with 130V for 10 days, followed by testing at 100V for another 10 days, and finally at 120V for 10 days with a cycle of 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off.
Temperature Test
- Comprehensive temperature tests in UL luminaires, including TC, TJ, and critical components like lamps, transformers, electrolytic capacitors, ICs, transistors, and other important parts. We measure LED current and voltage.
Thermal-Shock Test
- Cycle 1: -25°C to +80°C at 0% humidity with 120V, maintaining each temperature for 4 hours, for a total of 96 hours.
- Cycle 2: +85°C at 95% humidity with 120V for 55.3 hours, followed by continuous testing at -25°C with 95% humidity and 120V.
